Profile

Chino Yoshio (Yoshio Chino) is a Kyoto-based composer and CAD operator, and also works as an Independent Archivist, documenting and organizing creative activities and related contexts. He works primarily as a CAD operator, while pursuing music mainly on weekends. His music is minimalist in approach, shaped by jazz, fusion, future jazz, and contemporary classical influences, with piano, repetition, sine waves, and subtle electronics at its core. Although his work is often categorized as ambient or new age, it also leans toward modern and late-night jazz in atmosphere, making it a natural fit for listeners who prefer jazz-adjacent ambient music. His contemporary classical influences also draw from post-minimal composers. His music is distributed through CD Baby and has been used internationally.
