About the Album

Relax, Pt.5 is a collection of reimagined pieces presented in “Sine Wave Version” — a minimalist reinterpretation of my past works using pure sine tones.

I used Alchemy for earlier tracks like 193193, but I became increasingly aware of the built-in LFOs and other hidden modulations. Now I use Kontakt, importing a pure 440Hz sine wave and shaping the sound myself using filters and minimal processing.

Tracks like Mt. Kannabi and 193193 are revisited in this style, reflecting both my hometown of Kyotanabe and my interest in stillness and subtle emotion.

Many of these compositions were inspired by fleeting moments at my workplace — fragments of conversation, sudden realizations, and quiet reflections.

Also included is Kasagi Onsen Revisited, a piece drawn from memories of visiting Kasagi Town in southern Kyoto. The real onsen is currently closed, but the spirit of the place lives on in the music.

The album artwork was photographed by myself, using a piece of linen fabric I purchased to evoke a relaxed and natural texture.
